Youth Choir I & II rehearse Tuesdays, 6-7 p.m., extension to 7:30 for Youth Choir II
Youth Choirs I and II are ensembles for treble singers ages 8 +. Rehearsals focus on building music literacy and the study of varied 1- and 2-part repertoire. Youth Choirs I and II will each perform at least twice a year. Singers of all ages and skill levels will find this to be a welcoming, challenging, and fun experience.
Select Choir rehearses Sundays, 5:45-7:00 p.m.
Our Select Choirs provide an opportunity for the treble singer who is looking to grow to a very high level of skill and artistry. Select Choir will focus on vocal growth, improved musicianship, and appropriately challenging repertoire.
Tenor Bass Choir rehearses Sunday, 5:45-7:00 p.m.
Our Tenor Bass Choir (TBD) is designed for tenors and basses with changing or changed voices. The weekly rehearsal addresses the technical issues of the changing voice, the study of solfeggio and musicianship, and the performance of vocal repertoire appropriate to the age and range of the singers.
Concert Choir rehearses Sundays, 7-7:45 p.m.
Concert Choir is a four-part SATB choir comprised of selected high school members of the Tenor Bass and Select Choirs. Members of Select Choir and TBC participate in Concert Choir upon invitation of the WCC directors.
Chamber Choir rehearses Tuesdays, 7:15-8:45 p.m. & Sundays, 7:45-8:45 p.m.
Chamber Choir is comprised of our most advanced choristers. These choristers have demonstrated a strong commitment to vocal growth and music literacy. Chamber Choir is the most selective ensemble of the WCC. There is no age requirement for Chamber Choir. Participation in Select Choir or Tenor Bass Choir & Concert Choir is a requirement for this ensemble.
