Cityfest, Inc., the City of Wilmington’s non-profit corporation, is pleased to offer the 2010 Wilmington Children’s Chorus Advanced Summer Day Camp in Wilmington, Delaware.

TIME & LOCATION

• June 28-July 2, 2010
  9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• First and Central Presbyterian Church
  1101 N Market St.
  Wilmington, DE 19801

TRAINING

• Instruction in solo and choral vocal technique
• Performing & auditioning skills, sight singing, diction and music theory
• Master classes with professional musicians and directors
• Individual instruction, small group rehearsals and full-ensemble rehearsals

FINAL CONCERT

• Friday, July 2, 12:30 p.m.
• Solos, duets, and small ensembles
• Camp Chamber Choir Performance

ELIGIBILITY

• Ages 13-18 (exceptional younger singers may be considered)
• Audition or referral from a choral director or voice teacher is required

PREREQUISITES

• A high level of vocal ability
• Intermediate to advanced music reading skills
• An interest in advanced study of choral and solo repertoire
• A high level of commitment and self-discipline
  (All students will be given solo & choral repertoire to
  prepare prior to first day of camp.)

LUNCH

• Choristers bring their own lunch (snacks provided)

FEE

• $300 for one-week session
  (partial and full financial aid is available; please request aid application)
