2010 Summer Day Camp in Wilmington, Delaware for Grades 2-8

June 21-25, 2010
at First & Central Presbyterian Church

We also offer an Advanced Vocal Day Camp for Ages 13-18.

Cityfest, Inc., the City of Wilmington’s non-profit corporation, is pleased to offer the 2010 Wilmington Children’s Chorus Summer Day Camp in Wilmington, Delaware.

This one-week summer day camp is for children from all cultural backgrounds having completed grades 2-8 who want an intensive summer experience where the focus will be on choral singing and music training for young treble voices.

The program offers young singers an enriching musical experience where they will learn exciting choral repertoire and receive exceptional vocal and musical instruction by some of Wilmington's finest professional musicians. The choir camp includes numerous performing opportunities and concludes with a final concert for family and friends.

In addition to choral rehearsals and musicianship training, campers learn new skills in recorder and percussion classes and take the afternoons off for some fun activities like swimming and bowling. After one week, we put it all together for a Friday noontime concert for family and friends and follow it up with an old-fashioned cookout.

Campers do not need to be members of the WCC, so bring a friend! Older singers can apply to be camp interns. Camp brochures, registration forms and financial aid applications are available and enrollment has already begun.
