WCC Spring Party at Main Event!
Join us on Thursday, June 7th from 5pm to 9pm at The Main Event in Christiana for 4 hours of unlimited bowling, laser tag, and rope climbing. It will be a fantastic time! Tickets are $20. With your purchase, you get the unlimited playtime AND a $10 FUNcard to use at the arcade (the flyer has a typo and it says $5 but it is indeed $10). PLUS WCC WILL GET A $5 DONATION FOR EACH $20 WRISTBAND SOLD! WHAT A DEAL! Have your choristers invite all their family and friends. All are welcome. This is NOT a closed WCC event.
Duke Ellington’s “The Best of the Sacred Concerts”

The Wilmington Children’s Chorus performed during the “302 Guns Down – Day of Peace” event at Rodney Square. “302 Guns Down” is a student driven initiative to take a stand against violence in Wilmington.

Werther in Concert with OperaDelaware
Members of Select Choir perform alongside a professional cast in OperaDelaware’s concertized performances of Massenet’s Werther. Based on Goethe’s novel, The Sorrows of Young Werther, the opera tells a tragic story of unrequited love.

Candlelight Holiday Concert in Southern Delaware
Advanced members of the Wilmington Children’s Chorus presented a preview of their Wilmington concerts with holiday selections from the British Isles, including Benjamin Britten’s masterpiece,A Ceremony of Carols. The choir was joined by David Christopher on organ and piano at All Saints’ Church (18 Olive Avenue Rehoboth Beach DE 19971).

Annual Candlelight Concerts
In their Annual Candlelight Holiday Concert, the five performing ensembles of the Wilmington Children’s Chorus celebrated with selections from England, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland. The concert featured Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, a masterpiece for treble choir and harp that sets Middle English poetry reflecting on the mystery and magic of the season. The choir was joined by Eunice Kim on harp and David Christopher on organ and piano at First and Central Presbyterian Church (1101 N. Market St. Wilmington, DE).

Cartoon Christmas Trio at the Delaware Art Museum
The choir’s advanced Youth Choir members joined everyone’s favorite holiday trio to perform favorite tunes from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and other holiday cartoons at the Delaware Art Museum.

The Concert Choir of the Wilmington Children’s Chorus performed at the Delaware State Bar Association’s breakfast honoring Martin Luther King Jr., featuring key note speaker Vice President Joe Biden.

Men Only Aloud DE ACDA Conference
The Young Men’s Ensemble of the Wilmington Children’s Chorus performed at “Men Only Aloud”. Men Only Aloud is an annual choral workshop for middle school boys, presented by the Delaware chapter of ACDA. This year, Associate Director for the Wilmington Children’s Chorus, Philip Doucette, serveed as Guest Clinician and Instructor.

Spirituals Concert with Delaware ChoralArts and the SsAM Adult Choir
The Wilmington Children’s Chorus performed at the Episcopal Church of Sts. Andrew and Matthew’s Spirituals Concert, featuring Delaware ChoralArts, and the SsAM Adult Choir. The concert included works by Harry T. Burleigh, Florence B. Price, John Work, and William Grant Still.

Annual Spring Concerts
The five performing ensembles of the Wilmington Children’s Chorus joined their voices together to feature works from Sub-Saharan Africa. The choir was joined by a team of percussionists, led by Jonathan Whitney and high-school aged dancers from Pieces of a Dream, P*D2 at The Episcopal Church of Sts. Andrew and Matthew.
